While making changing your blades ensure you adjust the blade to the right tension and tracking. When not in use its advisable to keep the blade tension low while the saw is not in use. It is also worth noting that the very wide blades cut the lumber into thinner and fine veneers.
2. Maintaining flawless band saw tires

You might note that most of the quality band saws have cast iron table. The table is usually sturdy and heavy to provide a firm working base. Due to irons susceptibility to rust, it is important to have the table cleaned regularly.
For an already rusty table, you should use a liquid rust remover and a steel wool to rub off the iron from the table. It’s advisable not to use solvents to avoid potential damage to the machine.
